Co-Curricular Lead
Our Co- Curricular activities programme is a cornerstone of life at Noel- Baker Academy, providing your child with the chance to discover where their passions lie and develop hidden talents!
The range of activities on offer both enriches and broadens the educational experience of your child. The qualities, skills, values, experiences and abilities that your child will develop, will stay with them for life, so we encourage you to support your child in attending at least one activity a week. Your child can change activity each term if they wish, or develop what they know and love.
We have a vibrant Creative Arts faculty. Your child can learn to play an instrument, learn to sing and will be given the opportunity to perform publicly. Our annual school show is a highlight of the year and is always guaranteed to be a sell- out! Your child can take part in the school drama production, both on stage and behind the scenes.
We have a very enthusiastic and successful PE faculty. Your child is able to enjoy a wide and varied range of team and individual sports in our superb sport facilities, and are given the opportunity to compete against their peers at schools both locally and in national tournaments.
We are delighted to offer the Noel- Baker Academy Duke of Edinburgh Award (DofE) Scheme. This leading youth achievement award will give your child the opportunity to be the very best they can be, and we are fortunate to have a dedicated presence at the academy. The scheme is a life- changing experience as well as being a fun time with friends. It is an opportunity for your child to discover new interests and talents and is a tool to develop essential skills for life and work. The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme is a recognised mark of achievement and is respected by employers.
Our Co- Curricular programme takes place after school. Your child is also given the opportunity to visit amazing places as part of Enrichment. Recent trips have included visits to Austria (Skiing), Le Havre British Council, Jamie’s Farm in Hereford and Monmouth, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, PGL adventures at Caythorpe, Cardiff Millennium Stadium, Cadburys World, Hornsea, NEC Birmingham and theatre trips to London and locally.
Our well-balanced combination of academic and co-curricular learning will develop your child’s leadership skills, empower them to become more confident, boost their academic achievement and drive the development of their interpersonal skills, which will benefit your child far beyond their time at Noel-Baker Academy.

Co Curricular Clubs will run 3:10pm to 4:10pm. The only club they need to sign up for is cooking club due to numbers. They can just arrive at the correct time to the designated room.
Swimming is incorporated as a part of their PE lesson, but runs after school. Students will be invited to this via letter.
If students are attending a PE club after school and do not have PE that day, they must wear their school uniform and bring their PE separately.
